Throughout my life about every job I ever had dealt with lifting and using my back.
I started my first job at 16 years old as a Bellhop at a very busy hotel. Every single day I was lifting 70 pound pieces of luggage and straining my back in the process.
I did this job for almost 10 years and then I moved into construction and once again spent my days bending, twisting, turning and lifting.
Back pain had always been a part of my life, and to be honest I kind of got used to it. When I hit the age of 42 I decided it was time to ease off of the heavy lifting and I got a job as a bus driver.
Little did I know at the time, sitting on a bus for 10 hours a day could be just as destructive to my back as lifting hundreds of pounds daily.
Then the most terrifying thing happened to me, on a nice sunny July morning I was driving my usual bus route and then I went to get up from my chair during a stop and I could not move.
I just remember feeling needles up and down my spine and my toes tingling at a maximum right.
I immediately called my wife and barely being able to spew out the words,
The rest I don’t remember as everything went BLACK!
I woke up in the hospital bed with my lovely wife Karen sitting their next to me.
I remember seeing the look of worry and deep concern on her face. We all have moments in our life that we will never forget, whether they are good or bad… in this case I will never ever forget that look.
She was so scared for my life that day 🙁
I remember her saying to me…
When she said everything was going to be ok, I really thought for a moment everything was… but when the doctor came back I was told I needed to have a disc replacement, needed to schedule surgery and needed various pain medications.
The cost of all this would be close to $30,000!!
It was so much to take it at one time I didn’t know what to do…
I talked with my wife that whole night in the hospital about our options.
We knew this was something we could not afford… I had to find a way to do this without a doctor!
Luckily after spending the night in the hospital I checked out and returned home having regained mobility temporarily but still feeling a lot of pain.

So with only a $37 price point and Ian guaranteeing my back pain to vanish or my money back… I pulled the trigger and made the purchase!
My Back Pain Coach Review: Here Are My Thoughts
Upon purchasing My Back Pain Coach, I was immediately given access to several training videos. It was these videos that were going to relieve my back pain.
I won’t give away all the movements because I don’t want to spoil the program that Ian has created but all I can say is they are a simple set of 8 movements done in 2 minute segments back to back and so on. These aren’t exercise moves or yoga moves or anything like that.
I followed the direction, grabbed a pillow, laid on the ground and began.
Ian Hart I must say is a very good coach. In every video he explains everything very thoroughly and calming as well.
Ian Hart’s back exercises are also very well explained and he even shows you how to do modified movements for old timers like me!
Here is a description of the effect of each movement taken from the website:
- Movement #1: Begins activating imbalanced muscles, preparing them for relief…
- Movement #2: “Wakes up” dormant hip muscles and continues activating imbalanced muscles…
- Movement #3: Now that your body is prepared, you feel an initial wave of relief wash over you as Movement #3 starts releasing your pain…
- Movement #4: Continues flooding your lower back with newfound blood, oxygen and nutrients–you feel oddly energized…
- Movement #5: Decompresses the lower back–clients often visibly exhale as years of pent up tension is released…
- Movement #6: Aligns the whole body, restoring muscle balance along the entire spine in addition to your lower back…
- Movement #7: Finishes stabilizing your spine, back, and hips in their natural, pain-free positions…
- Movement #8: Gently compresses the spine to flush old blood out of your discs, then pull in new blood for even more healing, pain relief and recovery. (Clients faces soften and a smile crosses their lips as Movement #8 “locks in” healing)
Let me be the first to tell you… I am not flexible at all. I am 44 years old and consider myself as stiff as a board lol.
To be honest I had a tough time the first go around with these movements and that made me nervous that is program might be shaped more towards younger people.
The first stretch had me pulling my knee into my chest and I immediately felt a little bit of discomfort.
Ian continued to say in the video feeling discomfort is good because you are working your back in a way in isn’t use thus you are building flexibility and strength.
The next movement had me stretching out my hip and this to me was much much easier.
The remaining stretches ranged from easy to medium difficulty rank for me. But all in all I completed my first day in one piece!
I was very proud that I attempted every single movement in his set of videos. I can tell you right now some of them I probably didn’t do 100% right… but I tried my best lol! 🙂
While Ian says you should feel immediate results after the first time doing the movements… I have to say…I didn’t feel much of a difference…
My back was still in a lot of pain. However, this was just one day and I wasn’t going to give up quite yet!
Day 3 Of My Back Pain Coach – Finally Felt Results
As I promised myself I would give this program at least 14 days… and a funny thing happened after my 3rd day doing the program.
About 20 minutes later after the session was complete my back felt like it just breathed in a breath of fresh air!
Was all my pain completely vanished?
But for the first time in 20 years I had felt relief like I never had before and this was just the 3rd session!
I was completely shocked!
I know it sounds far-fetched especially since I JUST got out of the hospital…. but what I felt is the TRUTH!
What about all the surgeries and drugs and needles the doctors told me I had to use?
